TouchReliefSomewhere to put your hands.
An anti-stress app for when your head is busy. Press into slime and it dents, drag ink and it swirls, let go and it settles. Every texture is simulated live on your own device, so there is not one video or looping animation in the app.
A toybox and a calm-down kit
Ten screens from the iPhone app. Swipe or use the arrows, and tap any screen to enlarge it.

Nothing is pre-rendered
Each texture is a live simulation running on your device’s GPU with Metal. That is why it responds to exactly where you press, and why it never repeats itself.
- Slimes — a height field with viscous relaxation, eleven materials, glitter and multi-touch
- Fluids — ink, smoke, water, mercury and oil, solved as a real velocity field
- Particles — thirteen behaviours: strands, sparks, galaxy, warp, sand, snow and more
- Orbs — plasma ball, storms, lava lamp, crystal ball and a black hole
- Kaleidoscope — mirror-fold any engine, plus Julia, Mandelbrot and mandala fractals
- DIY slime — build your own: texture, three colours, sound, feel and vibration

Nineteen 3D toys with real physics
Hand-modelled objects rendered live with physically based materials, so they react to your touch instead of playing back a clip. Each has its own sound and Core Haptics signature.
- A fidget spinner with bearing drag and detents, in five designs
- Newton’s Cradle with chrome spheres and elastic transfer between the balls
- An ice cube that cracks along its seams, bursts, then refreezes
- A tuned kalimba, chime bars, a neon harp and a pin-art press
- Gyroscopic rings, magnetic balls, a lava lamp, a switch bank and an abacus that counts

Guided by a real voice
Five breathing patterns, including 4-7-8 and box breathing, with a flower that opens and closes in time and gentle haptics on every phase. Every meditation, sleepcast and practice is narrated by a recorded voice rather than a speech synthesiser.
- Seven meditations and seven mindfulness practices, including 5-4-3-2-1 grounding and a one-minute pause
- A silent timer with singing-bowl bells
- Affirmation sessions picked for today’s focus, over particles that change shape with each line

Wind down, then drift off
Four narrated sleepcasts, a mixer for layering rain, ocean, fire and birds, and a Bedside mode that turns the phone into a slow lava lamp with a clock and a dimmer.
- 24 sounds: recorded beds crossfaded between takes so the loop never lands on the beat, plus white, pink and brown noise synthesised live
- Twelve ready-made Relax Mixes, or save your own
- A sleep timer that fades everything out, from 15 to 90 minutes

Your music, moving every texture
Play from your library, a file, or the microphone and every texture reacts. Bass drives slime dents and fluid splashes, highs pulse the glow, and timed switches land on the beat.
- Live FFT analysis with a 32-bar spectrum and tempo detection
- The microphone picks up music from any app or speaker. Audio is analysed on device and never stored.
- Ships with Volcano Run, an original track from XGalaga HD

30,000 particles, ten shapes
A geodesic sphere, solar jets, a nebula, a heart, Saturn and a lotus. Drag to spin, hold to attract, tap to burst. Affirmation sessions morph the cloud with every spoken line.
Five minutes, built from how you feel
A 20-second daily check-in covers mood, stress, energy, sleep and focus, and gives you a 0–100 Mental Index with a trend chart. Save it and TouchRelief proposes a routine that fits: two minutes of texture, two of breathing, one of affirmations.
Unwind
When stress is running high.
Lift
When your mood is low.
Recharge
After a poor night’s sleep.
Wake up
When energy is flat.
Keep it steady
For a good day you’d like to keep.
Streaks & goals
Sessions, minutes, a streak and a weekly goal chart. Gentle reminders if you want them.
Calm on your wrist, and a remote for your phone
The watch app works on its own, and it can also drive the iPhone app from across the room.
- Calm Touch — 220 glowing particles orbit your finger, with Taptic clicks
- Breathe — the same five patterns, with directional haptics on each phase
- Sounds — twelve ambient sounds played on the watch itself
- Check-in, affirmations and a mindful timer with haptic bells
- iPhone Remote — change textures, start a routine, set the sleep timer, turn on Bedside mode

Room to spread out
Every texture redraws at any size and aspect ratio, in portrait, landscape and multi-window, with no letterboxing.

Relief without opening the app
Widgets
Today’s Touch, Daily Affirmation, Mental Index and Quick Relief, on the Home Screen, Lock Screen and in StandBy.
Live Activities
Breathing phases, the mindful timer and routine steps count down in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen.
Bedside mode
A slow lava lamp that drifts on its own, a large clock, a dimmer, quick sleep sounds and the sleep timer.
Low Sensory mode
Softens motion, brightness, sound and haptics across the whole app, and hides the flashing textures.
Haptics everywhere
Every texture and toy has its own Core Haptics signature, tuned to the thing it is meant to feel like.
Capture & share
Record ten seconds of your texture and send it to Photos, Messages or anywhere else.
Built for restless hands and busy heads
A section inside the app maps each of these to the exercise that helps, so you are never left staring at a menu.
Anxiety & panic
Ease baseline worry or interrupt a sudden spike with responsive textures and guided breathing cues.
ADHD & restlessness
Channel fidgeting and keep focus during work or study with non-distracting 3D toys and haptic feedback.
Sensory overload & stimming
A safe, controllable sensory outlet to decompress after a long day, with Low Sensory mode on hand.
Sleep & rumination
Sleepcasts, ambient mixes and Bedside mode for the thoughts that keep you awake.
Habit redirection
Something satisfying to do with your hands instead of skin-picking, nail-biting or reaching for a craving.
Daily stress & burnout
One-minute grounding exercises between tasks, personalised affirmations and a daily mood index.
TouchRelief is a self-care wellness tool for relaxation, mindfulness and sensory grounding. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you are struggling, please speak to a qualified healthcare professional.
Simulated, not played back
Written natively in Swift with SwiftUI, Metal, RealityKit, AVAudioEngine and Core Haptics.
Slime
A height field with viscous relaxation. Press and it dents, drag and the surface smears with your finger, release and it settles under its own tension.
Fluids
A GPU stable-fluids solver with vorticity confinement, so a swirl keeps turning after your finger has gone.
Particles
Compute-shader particles that chase the touch with drag and turbulence rather than a scripted path.
Gadgets
RealityKit objects with physically based materials and a studio environment map generated on device.
Sound
Thirteen touch-sound profiles driven by finger speed and pressure. Noise beds are synthesised live; rain, birds and fire are recordings crossfaded between four takes.
Haptics
A continuous Core Haptics texture player plus transients, in four strength levels.
